Analysis of the Lifestyle of University Students Focused on Eating Habits

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the analysis of lifestyles of university students in terms of eating habits. Presents theoretical knowledge about healthy eating and compares them with the results questionnaire for university students, which was conducted in March and April 2015. Evaluates the eating habits of university students and proposes ways they can be improved.
The Attitude of University Students towards Sport and Physical Activities

Alžběta Anna Šimurdová Title: The attitude of university students towards sport and physical activities Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to determine whether university students tend to do more physical activities and sports compared to people who have been already working and whether they do have any preferences in sports or any other physical activities. Another objective is an analysis and comparison of diet between the two groups in order to focus on their regime, addictions, sleep, and daily routines. Methods: This thesis is based on a quantitative type of research. The SFSPA questionnaire was elected as the main research method. This questionnaire was adjusted to meet the needs of the theoretical outcomes of this thesis. The questionnaire was published through a form on Google Forms, from which all the answers were transferred into an MS Excel file where all the data were processed into written form, all the results transferred to graphs and contingency tables were formed. Hypotheses were verified through Pearson's Chí-kvadrát test. Results: There were 294 participants from the Czech Republic answering the questionnaire. Subjective experience of students of Leisure time education at the TF JU with burnout syndrome

The diploma thesis deals with subjective experiences of students with stress in the field of leisure time pedagogy at the Faculty of Theology od the University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part of the work deals with a professional description of stress and explains concepts, such as stressors. Furthermore, in this part I focus on experiencing stress and also on possible ways to manage it. Due to the focus of the topic of the work, I also explain the very concept of burnout syndrome. The practical part that follows describes the course and results of the research survey. The research is carried out using interpretive phenomenological analysis. Based on the analysis of the interviews, I find out what subjective experience with stress university students have. In the research, I also point out what stressors affect students, how they experience stress it self and what defence mechanisms they use to manage it.
Nutrition and eating habits of APTV students at UK FTVS

Title: Nutrition and eating habits of APA students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to map the nutritional habits of APA students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University by using a questionnaire survey and then compare the results with the principles of healthy eating and proper nutrition, which are written in the theoretical part of this thesis. Methods: Within the theoretical-empirical research, information about students' diet was ascertained by using a quantitative method. The specific form was an online questionnaire. Results: The questionnaire survey shows that most students in the field of APA at Charles University eat according to the principles of healthy nutrition. 73,3 % of students eat regularly, more than half of them eat at the right time intervals. More than 75 % of students have regular breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. 68 % of students prepare lunches by themselves, 20 % use the canteen. Most students follow a drinking recommendation. Only 6,7 % of students smoke cigarettes and 3 % regularly use chewing tobacco. Insufficient intake of fruit and vegetable was reported by more than third of respondents. Sleep variability and sleep behavior of two selected homogeneous groups of aduls

Nowadays, frequency of so called civilization diseases is raising and current life style of an industrial society brings increased number of sleep disorders. Various non-physiological and pathological phenomena, for which humans do not have and cannot have any adaptation mechanisms created, can be seen in our culture and society. The purpose of this thesis is to examine sleep habits of two groups of healthy adult persons (young adults and seniors) and determine factors having an influence on sleep quality. Three hypotheses were stated (Hypothesis No. 1: Sleep length and quality are changing throughout the life. Hypothesis No. 2: Sleep length has an influence on BMI. Hypothesis No. 3: Sleep length is dependent on a life style). Validity of these hypotheses was verified. The sample consisted of a group of young adults (76 women, 51 men) and of a group of active seniors (50 women, 40 men). Sleep behavior was investigated by a questionnaire form. Every person answered to 50 questions. Their answers were statistically processed. Basic somatic characteristics as body height, body weight and Body Mass Index were measured during the contact with respondents. Initial chapter describes basic life-style facts of this group. Following chapters list and compare youth and adult nutrition habits. General nutrition issues are also presented in this project including family and school nutrition addition to public nutrition analyses. There is also chapter specifying sample of university student, nutrition habits and relevant research. The practical part presents own university student research. Fluid intake and physical activity of university students of various faculties in a selected locality

This thesis is about drinking regime and physical activity of university students in a selected locality. It is divided into two main parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part contains basic concepts associated with lifestyle, offers a broad overview of soft and alcoholic beverages. It defines the life stage that characterizes university students and describes their selected sports activities. The practical part contains the processing and analysis of collected data using a questionnaire survey, interpretation and evaluation of results. For data collection was used research technique of a non-standardized questionnaire in online form. The questionnaire includes both closed questions that offer a specific number of possible answers and open questions that do not provide any prepared answers. The questions relate to external phenomena as well as to internal phenomena (attitudes, feelings, etc.). The collected data are shown in graphs or tables and compared between certain faculties, level of education and on the basis of gender aspects. Aspekty zdraví a životního stylu studentů VŠ

The public observes that the qualities of human health depends on the lifestyle. The main topic of diploma thesis was to research the attitude of the university students in the Czech Republic and to describe their lifestyle standards. In accordance with the aim of the thesis, a questionnaire survey was conducted on a sample of 677 respondents. The questions related to the realm of the nutrition, physical exercises, passive spending free time, smoking and consuming alcohol. General information about the health and the factors of lifestyle is summarized in the theoretical part. On the other hand, the practical part is based on the analysis and evaluation of acquired data. The results explores the insufficient compliance of the principles of healthy lifestyle. The outcome of the analytic part is applicable to processing by the headquarters team in the intention of the IGA project no. 008/2016 and to research purposes.
